Default Making my own ringtones???????

I have the tmobile pocket pc phone and want to know how to make my own QUALITY ringtones??? Which is the best software to record a certain part of a song and then converting it to a .wav size that will not take up to much space but will sound good on my phone???? right now i have to stick my phone up to the stereo and record the part of the song i want and it saves it as a file but it dont sound good...... the other thing is i can try it on my computer but then my wave is to big

no.... i need like a software to convrt sounds into smaller wav files to play on my machine...... i already know where they suppose to go

Try dBpowerAMP to convert to WAV, and then use Windows Sound Recorder (Accessories>Entertainment) to cut it into smaller chunks.

You might try out GoldWave, an excellent SHAREWARE sound editor (amoung other things). It has a trial period so you can extensively test it before buying.

actually i do have goldwave and i do do editing with it but my files come out to big....

Unfortunately, all WAV files are going to be large - there's not really anything you can do about it, except maybe compress to a really small MP3 or OGG and then convert back to WAV. Your quality won't be very good, though.

but there has to be a way because the tones that other phones use isnt that big so how do they get theres so small in size
