Mainly because of the processor optimizations made in Pocket PC 2003 (or Windows Mobile 2003, whatever). But if you get a 5555 that means you'll have the new OS, so videos will play fine on that. Too bad you won't have a CF slot!
(go for the 2215...)

go for 2215? No way lol. It's plastic, no built in WiFi and smaller buttons. Plus more memory.I have my sleeve I can use..yes it would be nice if they built in a CF slot on the 5555 but oh well. I can surf the web wirelessly and use my 1 GIG card at same time.

I thought the 36,37,38,39 and 5000 series were aluminum. If they ARE plastic though...it sure doens't feel as cheap as 2215.

the 2215 feels "cheap" because it's light. Considering how (relatively)thick it is, it's surprisingly light next to my ultrathin Clie T415. But it seems to be a pretty solid device, despite the plasticky lack of heft to it, and it's certainly easier on my pocket than a 36xx+ would be.

Guess what... w/ a 2215 you can use 802.11b SD (card available in a few days) and have a 1GB CF card and have a much smaller footprint than a 5555 w/ a sleeve

I don't trust the SD wifi cards. Have you seen how far they stick out? with a card that thin and long, they may as well put a label on it saying "Break Me!"
I'd rather have a CF wifi card, even if it's a little bulkier; along with my 256 SD card should be plenty for most things, and for long trips and the like I can swap in my 1 GB CF card.

The biggest difference is the new version of WMP - it's much, much better at playing video that the previous version.
