1945 is cool but the 2210 is better
Got a 1945 and wish I had spent the few extra $ on a 2210. The "joystick" direction thing on the 1945 really blows in comparason with the 2210. also not having a cradle stinks! I'm buying one now.
Good luck!

i just really want something small, with (preferrably) a removable battery, and ability to hook up wi-fi. the 1945 is just so small i can tuck it into a dress shirt pocket at work (my preferred carry around method there)... is this yellow screen thing a real issue?

Well the 1945 doesn't have WiFi built in - the 4155 does, you might want to add that into your consideration. The 4155 is just a bit more expensive than the 2210, but doesn't have a CF slot and has WiFi built in.
I have a 4155 and I love it!
The yellow screen issue is a big deal for some, not so big a deal for others. On mine it's there, but it's only noticable if I look at the screen from an angle other than straight on.
For me, it's not a big deal.

I believe it should work. I've never used bluetooth myself though. I know in theory at least you can!
Note that the 4155 also has bluetooth so you could do it with it as well.
You might want to search the HP iPAQ forum on this site for advice on that - I'm sure others have likely asked and answered on this.

Make sure you check the screen in person before you purchase. Both 1945 and 4150 have yellow tint screens, which bother many people including me. I'm using a 4150 nevertheless since it is such a great PDA in the amazingly small form factor. 2215 doesn't suffer from the yellow tint issue, but its color saturation is a little bit poor, and the screen looks washed out. Also I didn't quite like the d-pad of 2215. It is good for gaming, but often unreliable and too sensitive for eBook reading. D-pad and falling off side grip made me replace 2215 with 4150, and overall I'm happy with my decision.

ok i've done a lot of internet research and i'm trying to decide between the 1945 and the 4155. besides built in wi-fi and a 400mhz processor, does the 4155 add anything else? hard to tell from what i've found. i've found the 1945 for around 200 and the 4155 for 400.

I was in a similar situation a few weeks ago. Returned the T|T2 and went all out for a 4150. I've owned a 2210 before and did not like it's weight & sensitive d-pad. Considered the 1945 as well but the wifi & bluetooth on the 4150 convinced me because I have wifi at home & work. It's great syncing via wifi....if it works  Been having problems syncing with wifi lately after a hard reset. The yellow tint on mine is not that bad, I don't mind it. Another thing that convinced me to go for the 4150 is the future W2003 SE support.
I'm very happy with my 4150.

iPaq 2200
I have an iPaq 2200 and I must say it is a great PDA but if you are looking for something small, the 1400 series is what you want. My girlfriend has one and I think it is great. The only real advantage of the 2200 is the CF Card.
Also the side bars of the 2200 do fall off a lot... very disaapointing and my secure digital card isnt working anymore.
also, the 1400 series my girlfriend has is a 200 mhz proc but i notice absolutely no difference between it and the 400 mhz in my 2200
just some notes
