Windows Mobile 6 & Tytn

Hi! I am new here, plus new with pocket pc, so if I've put this thread on the wrong page I hope someone will correct me.

The problem I have is with the TyTN Pocket pc I have. I got it last year (just before all the other upgrades which I knew nowt about! ). It has Windows Mobile 5 & HTC tell me I can upgrade to the Mobile 6 by downloading the software from their website.

I download it ok, set my phone to Active Sync ok, then it starts to install ok. Just for a few seconds. Then the phone goes blank and a box comes up stating: " connect your USB & try again".

I have tried till I am blue in the face and the same thing happens each time.

I have sent email to HTC customer support (5 in all), and they do not reply.

I have searched various forums to see if anyone else has had the same problem, but no luck.

I have checked my pc for driver updates etc & everything is fine according to my pc.

So why does the connection "fail" each time I try to install Mobile 6?

If anyone knows the answer I would be gratefull. Everything works fine on the TyTN but I'm told things would be better if I upgrade.

Can anyone help? Please? It's my last resort!
