Default Pocket PC Louisville meeting Tue Feb 27th, 2007

The next Pocket PC Louisville meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb 27th at our usual location (Bon Air Regional Library). All are welcome!
The meeting begins at 6:30pm and ends around 8:30pm.

Ian Husk is going to give us an in-depth look at Spb Mobile Shell, the next generation of user interface for Windows Mobile 5 devices. He did a written review of the program, now come see it in more detail!

We'll also have a demo of a new desktop application from Applian called Replay Media Catcher, the first ever Online Video and Audio recorder for streaming Flash and MP3 sites. Replay Media Catcher allows customers to capture perfect digital reproductions from previously unrecordable premium destinations like ABC.com, NBC.com, MySpace™ and thousands of others, as well as popular places like YouTube™ and Google Video! Come check it out in action!

We'll of course have some discussion about the upcoming release of Windows Mobile 6, the new devices coming out and what everyone thinks of Microsoft's new naming convention for the devices (Classic, Standard and Professional).

This part is a repeat from last month's meeting, but worth mentioning again: Have you heard of the JawBone Bluetooth headset?! "Jawbone is the world's first adaptive Bluetooth headset for mobile phones. Its revolutionary Noise Shield technology combines the latest innovations in acoustics, audio processing and product design to produce a quantum leap in headset performance. Not only does the Jawbone technology virtually eliminate all background noise from your call, but as your background changes it also seamlessly adjusts the speaker output so you can hear your caller's voice better. Jawbone's intelligent system of sensors, software, and ergonomic features allows you to use your mobile phone in any environment without shouting or straining to hear."
Now there are a few of us who have one, and you can see them at the meeting! We love them, and will be happy to show-and-tell!

Check out our Club page for more details about the meeting, the location and directions.

See you at the meeting!

Matt
