Default Philadelphia area, sound off!

O.K., I think we have a large Pocket PC population around the greater Philadelphia area. So the question becomes: do we want to create a user group?

Feel free to post your thoughts about it here!

Steve

I'm a little over an hour away, but would be up for it, as long as Pat's provides the food

Great. Until two months ago I lived in Cherry Hill, NJ (which is much nicer than PF would have you believe and has the best Curry House in the Greater Philly area).
Now when I'm gone you do this, I would have loved to get involved.

I'm going to have to track down the Boston group now instead.

I hate it when people "bump" threads, so I won't! Instead, I'll just ask: "Hello! Is this thing on?" Come on Philly people! Let me know if you are interested in meeting your fellow Pocket PC fanatics! I know there are more than two or three of us!

Hey Steve! I'm over in Limerick, so I'm practically next door to you. Unfortunately I'm planning on moving to the D.C. area shortly. Sorry.

So how much snow did you get in Harleysville yesterday? I still think my calendar's wrong or something.

I'm about an hour north of Philly (about 10 minutes from Limerick, actually!). Glad to see there's a few of us in the area.

Default PhilaPUG!!!

Hello all - Philly does have a PDA Users group - PhilaPUG

We founded in the late 90's as the Philadelphia Palm Users Group (of which I am a co-founder) and in my second reign as chairperson, I helped reorganize as the Phila PDA Users Group to try an incorporate PPC, Psion and other "non-palm" OS users.

We're active on the PhilaPUG yahoo group and we're trying to get back in the swing of things, so to speak, and start to once again hold regular meetings.

So please stop by PhilaPUG.com or join the PhilaPUG Yahoo group and express your interest in getting together. A lot of us old-timers are just itching for an excuse to meet agian!

Of course you can always PM me here if you want more info or you can track me down at WPVI-TV in Philly, where I'm the IT Manager.

Best Regards - John

PhilaPUG is still around? I was a member when I had a Palm (you probably have my name listed there somewhere). Never got a response to any questions I ever emailed the group.

I'm looking to really have a Pocket PC-centric type group. Not really interested in any other PDA's. But you are more then welcome to join us if we do manage to get something going!

Steve

Well, with my user name I'll have to step up.
If you get a group together, I'm down. 0X
