Perth Mobility User Group - June 13, 2006

The Perth Mobility User Group got off to a great start earlier this month. If you attended the inaugural meeting and are interested in making it for the second, or you're new and want to learn more about the user group, then pencil in Tuesday, June 13, 2006.

The meetings are a good opportunity for anyone interested in technology (developers and end-users) to gather and discuss all aspects of mobile devices - from Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs and Smartphones, to Tablet PCs and Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPC).

Details for the June meeting are as follows:
When: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 - Starting at 5:30pm. Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month.
Where: Fujitsu Australia Ltd, Level 15, 191 St George's Terrace, Perth WA 6000, Australia (corner of St George's Terrace and Mill Street).
Who: Anyone interested in mobile technology.

Agenda: Microsoft MVP (.NET Compact Framework), Nick Randolph, will be presenting on development topics related to the Windows Mobile platform. Alongside that, there will be general discussion on the direction of the group over pizza.

If you have specific questions or comments about mobile devices, accessories, software, product development, and even the industry in general, bring them to the meeting and we'll discuss them as a group. Remember to bring your gadgets. A mobility user group isn't complete without the gadgets.

Due to work commitments affecting Nick Randolph, we've had to modify the agenda of next week's meeting. We'll endeavour to cover Windows Mobile development at a future meeting, but to stay on topic, you can find details of the new agenda below:

Agenda: Business Development Specialist of Volante, Domenic Chiera, will be presenting a comparison between Blackberry and Windows Mobile-based devices.

Following that, there will be a highlight of the month's biggest mobile technology news.

There will also be an additional presenter and topic covered, though both have yet to be announced.

Like before, there will be general discussion on the direction of the group over pizza, and if you have any specific questions or comments about mobile technology, please bring them to the meeting.

I won't be able to make it to this meeting, but will be at future meetings, so if you ever get the chance, do pop in and say hello.
