Default Club Pocket PC - Boston Meeting: Wednesday, June 16th

Our next Club Pocket PC - Boston meeting will be held o*n Wednesday, June 16th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the Microsoft offices in Waltham, MA. This meeting is highlighted with three presentations -

- Developing Orientation- and Resolution-Aware Applications for Windows Mobile 2003 SE -
Windows Mobile 2003 SE provides native support for VGA resolution displays and toggling between landscape and portrait orientations. This opens the door for developers to extend support to these new applications through these features. While all of this is exciting news for developers, what new challenges do these features pose?

Don Sorcinelli will provide an overview (and code samples) of the ways that you can support orientation and resolution-aware applications in both the .NET Compact Framework and eC++, and will discuss the tradeoffs associated as well.

- Voice Over IP: IP Telephony Fundamentals and VOIP o*n the Pocket PC -
Interested in VoIP, both in general and o*n the Pocket PC? Bob Gaughan will provide insight into the nature of VoIP and its benefits.

- Wireless Tips, Tricks and Utilities -
Interested in some of the various utilities available for Wi-Fi o*n the Pocket PC? Interested in how to best leverage the capabilities of wireless o*n the Windows Mobile platform? Steven Hughes will present and demonstrate some of the cool things you could do with your Pocket PC and Wi-Fi.

As always, there will also be lots of giveaways as well.
