Default Calgary PPC meeting - November 23rd, 2004

The next Calgary PocketPC group meeting will be held in November. Details as follows.

When: Tuesday, November 23rd, 2004 -- 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Where: Joey Tomato's Crowfoot (50 Crowfoot Way NW) -- the side room
Who: Anyone who would like to meet other PPC enthusiasts, share stories and show off their gadgets.

New: We've had some feedback that folks would like to see a little more structure to our meetings and take something away from it. As you know, we have a lot of experience and expertise at our disposal in our groups.

If you have a specific question about devices, peripherals, accessories or the industry in general, bring it to the meeting and we'll discuss them as a group. Hopefully you can leave a little smarter than you left (not a guarantee).

If you can attend, please send me a private message or email jeff (at) calgaryppc (dot) com . The room we have booked does have a capacity so please do let me know if you're planning to attend.

Hey! That is the day we move, so I will let you know if I can attend.

Do we have the side room this time? If so, that would be great, because it was sure noisy last time!

Yeah, we have the side room again. A few people liked the other table last time actually so I inquired about it again, but they'll only take reservations for the side room.

Hello PPC folk,

By way of introduction, my name is Asif and I'm from the Calgary area. After having owned a Cassiopeia E125 (some four years ago), and then later an Audiovox Thera 2032, I recently bit the bullet and bought a new Dell Axim X50V.

I was happy albeit surprised to find a local user-group dedicated to PPC enthusiasts, and as such, I will try my best to make it out to the meet next week. I'm sure many of you can help me get the most out of my new X50V.

Look forward to seeing you all then.
Asif
PS-Say, Joey's isn't a free hotspot by chance is it? *grin*

If memory serves me correctly it was something like $5 for 4 hours... but then again it's been a while since I checked it out while I was at the meeting.

$1.25/hr (even at four at a time) = 8)

But four hours? They must really expect people to enjoy their meals!

When I visit Calgary, I generally spend no more than 2 hrs in a given area, but that's just me.

*Hangs head in shame*

Sorry I didn't get to make this meeting folks. The line of duty called, and I didn't leave work till 9PM. Hopefully it was a productive meeting, and I hope to see you all at the next.

Asif
