Default TOMTOM NAV. 6

I must really look like a helpless dude with a bunch of pointless questions, but here I go again. I was wondering if I got my hands on a copy of the TOMTOM nav. 6 software (which I know I can), and used someone's maps from a standalone GPS navigator (keep in mind these are not TT nav.6 maps) would I be able to copy those maps to the directory as a substitute for the maps needed for TT nav. 6 and make the whole shebang work?

Nope. Map file formats are specific to the map program they are designed for. You can't read DeLorme map files with Streets and Trips, or Garmin files with Magellan GPSs. Same for the handhelds.
