Hi i have a rx3115 pocket pc with tom tom 6 on it and i use the usb sync cable it came with to charge it in the car connected to a usb cigarette lighter charger.
the unit dies anyways, i think because every time i start the car and power is applied to the usb cable, the unit turns on. it doesnt turn on with the ac adapter at home though. so if i buy a cigarete lighter adapter for it, will that act like a non usb? it must think i want to sync or something.
is there a way to keep it from turning on unless i press the power button? maybe a program or a reg edit?

most of the chargers are usb cable with cigarette usb charger. that will just have the same issue i assume. this is the only one i could find that looked like just a regular charger for the car.
