New maps for Tomtom 3 Bluetooth

I've had the Tomtom 3 bluetooth kit now for about 8 weeks and I've noticed that the maps are very out of date. I've searched the Tomtom website and found only a coming soon message.

I have a friend who bought the hx1710 package with the tomtom serial kit and they have tomtom 4.40, why is mine an older version even though I bought it more recently?

Also everytime I run the wizard it tells me the maps aren't installed but running Tomtom from the today screen plugin works fine.

I've found Tomtom to be very slow at loading on my h2210 and if I turn off the PPC with it open sometimes Tomtom locks up when I turn it back on and I have to do a soft reset which isn't a good idea when I'm driving.

The maps look rubbish on a Dell X50v as well.
