Default Need advice on configuring Outlook

I used to be able to sync Outlook on WiFi before I upgraded to PPC2003. I can get on the Internet and use IE, but when I try to get to my pop3 accounts, I get an error, "Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you are connected and that your e-mail account settings are correct."

I have checked and changed my settings 1.62 zillion times and can find no issues. What am I doing wrong? (The persistent question of all PPC users). What are the settings I should be using? Is there an FAQ re this somewhere? Enquiring minds want to know!

Sorry to be so bothersome. 8O

I had the exact same issue for the longest time. I don't know what I did but it eventually kicked in and I was able to check my email, on my iPaq 5550.

What device are you using?

This appears to be an issue with some (by no means not all) devices running Windows Mobile 2003.

All I can suggest is to keep trying and hope that one day your settings will finally be accepted as mine eventually did, and hope that the first EUU for WM2003 will correct this issue on the small number of reported devices that experience it. Also, once you know the account is setup correctly, regardless of what the iPaq says, I would leave the settings alone. If you've entered them once they shouldn't need to be entered again no matter how much it complains.

I've heard that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a sign of insanity. Does that mean all PPC users are insane?

Actually I think it is that your ppc is stubborn
HOw long have you had your ppc??:
Did you ever put your ppc through basic training?
It is a very crucial process in being an owner of a new ppc, it doesnt have to be your first ppc, but if that ppc is new to you then put it through basic training.
remember, before you get it, it is lazy, wants to do things its own way, its own time, but you are there to put it through your boot camp :!:
quit putting up with that 3955 :!: :!: :!:
what kind of a 3955 would not sync and connect for email. what a disgrace :!:  that is not team work, your 3955 needs to get in line with the rest of the ppc's and walk a straight line... or maybe it is the owner
