I haven't used Nav4all - I just checked the website - it seems to be geared more towards phones. Is that what you have?
My PocketPC doesn't have a phone, but I do have a GPS compact flash card - the software I use is TomTom Navigator. I really love it.

Someone from nav4all has been spamming our forums lately, so no, I don't think I'd recommend it. ;-)

I know the maps TomTom uses are supposed to be really solid. Tele Atlas is one of the primary mapping providers out there, and from my experience, they do a good job.

One of the forum members at firstloox had a look at the software - his mini review is worth a read:
Quote:
Some may have read the SPAM here, so i looked for the ******* application. This is in fact one of the worst applications i have ever seen. The application really sucks big time. It is so wrong that it would be fashionable to have it in the 70's.
I once wrote an article about what good mobile applications are, and this application clearly demonstrates what disasters happen if you do not follow these guidelines. My summary:
* There is no 3D view or any advanced usable GUI
* It is based on Java, so it requires a huge footprint just to get it working on a PPC. Getting Java to work on a PPC is a nightmare anyway. Stay away from Java on PocketPC's. THis is a match made in Hell!
* It's slow, calculations are much slower than TomTom and other players in the market.
* It is completely dependent on a GPRS connection. GPRS, when used continously, really drains your battery within hours (especially when you also have to use BT to the GPS) and costs a fortune when used for more intensive aplications abroad. Besides that, a good application should not be dependent on GPRS since GPRS is not a really stable connection medium (coverage certainly is not 100%).
I think people should be warned for use of this kind of applications.

They've really shot themselves in the foot with their spam campaign. I've been searching for something exactly like this for my mobile since my crummy hx4700 has serious issues and I don't want to chance upgrading to WM5. But I can't find any useful information about Nav4all cause it's all SPAM SPAM SPAM.
