Meritline WiFi CF card, $31?! Whaaaah?!
http://store.yahoo.com/meritline/mewlwicoflad.html
This looks bogus ... I mean, $30 for a CF WiFi card ... where's the catch? It just makes me uneasy, the price is so nice.

Most likely it is the real deal. Remember that unlike a few years ago when only a select few had PPC and you needed a costly expansion pack for the CF or PC Cards, most current model PPC have built in WiFi along with Bluetooth (used my old 3975 to connect to my network via a bluetooth connection on one of my desktops and work perfectly, a 1MB connection was more than enough to browse pages using pocket IE, view video/audio clips, or sync). This is why they are giving these cards away for free. Though I do not see the need for them, it is only a matter of time before CF cards or built in units start using the wireless G or upcomming N standard which will cause WiFi CF cards as such to be work as much as a 16/32/64MB CF card.
Also you can find a Linksys WCF12 for about that price on ebay.
Good luck

Thanks for the reassurance. But it still makes me uneasy, err, like, at BestBuy, this kind of thing goes for $70-$80. I'll check out eBay, hadn't thought of them.

Well the WCF12 is up to 80USD again and there isn't one near me anyway. I've been checking eBay ... would a Dell WiFi CF work with my Toshiba?

I have no idea...but I would not chance it...Keep looking, I am sure you will find a WCF12 for about 35-40usd. I am also heading over to burbank (CompUSA and Fry's Electronics there), if I see a good deal(35-40) I will pick one up for you and ship it to you for free (I always have the option of returning it if you do not want it).

Really? This community is uber awesome ... but I registered over a year ago for some reason ... lol.
I'll keep looking at ebay and local stores for deals. OfficeMax has a 256MB SD card for 90-25 Instant-15 Mail-in=$50! I should get it, right? I mean, my 64MB Memory Stick cost me that much! Stupid Sony.

hey, i got two of those meritline cards. one for my casio e-125, in which, it doesn't work cause they don't support my OS (PC2000), the other one i am sending to someone in trade for a rare stowaway keyboard. He has a iPAQ in that should work fine. i'll let you know how it works out for him. I might part with this thing if I cant get it to work. Have to get a Netgear MA 701 i believe.
BTW bigdaddy, nice icon you have there.
