Default IPAQ 5450 WLAN

Hi

Just purchased an IPAQ 5450 and am impressed so far, one anoying problem is that now and again when trying to turn on the WLAN power the following error occurs:
The WLAN failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn on WLAN.
This also happens with Bluetooth !

Any ideas !!!!

Almost everybody with Bluetooth has experienced this. How much memory do you have remaining on your Pocket PC?

Besides the Storage and Program memory, apparently there is also an area for driver memory. If you're running enough programs, there may not be enough driver memory left to open your WiFi or Bluetooth stacks.

You'd think you can just close running programs to recover this area, but nothing I've read indicates that works. :-(

Default Possible fix

dschur over at the Brighthand Forums has posted a fix that improves the CPU usage of 5400 series devices AND some posters are saying it has cleared up the "driver memory" problem.

Here's the link:

I've found that if you use the "Wireliess Control" link to turn on WiFi, it works every time. But if you use the "iPAQ WLAN" link it expects a soft reset. Give it a try it works for me.

Cheers
