Do you mean what kind of receiver or what kind of software? Definitely bluetooth for the receiver so that you wouldn't have to use up a slot on the device and if you buy a different PDA. As far as the software, I use Teletype software latest and like it all though it does take some time to fully understand it. One of the best places to ask or just read up on is the website www.gpspassion.com. There are also a lot of good retailers with links to their sites. Hope this helps you out. 0X

I recently purchased a Globalsat BT338 GPS receiver to use with my iPaq 4155. So far so good. I bought it bundled with iNav iGuidance mapping/navigation software. I went with this software over the others after some extensive research -- it seemed to have most of the features I wanted for a reasonable price.

On the other side of the coin, I've been impressed with using a combination of BeeLineGPS and GPXSonar for Geocaching.

Nice picks. I'm still weighing whether I need GPS or not, but after much research, I came to the same software and hardware options you arrived at.
