Global GSM Adapter for PPC Phone

Does anyone know of a device that can be used to convert a PPC Phone (Audiovox XV 6600) to be used as a GSM global phone...some sort of an attachment that can be used with a SIM (unlocked)? I've heard of using a bluetooth GSM as a modem for the 6600 but that still requires carrying two phones for international calls.

Is there any other option to make use of a Pocket PC phone when travelling internationally?
