Default Ford Audio / MS Bluetooth (in)compatibility - Got any tips?

I just took delivery of a new Ford Galaxy with the Sony CD layer and built-in Bluetooth. For the most part the Bluetooth link to my PPCPhone (a T-Mo Vario3, aka Tilt etc.) is pretty good, and I've even managed to get the Ford Voice Control System to activate and work with Voice Command on the PPC, though it remains to be seen if that will work reliably.

The odd thing is that access to my PPCs contact list from the car is intermittent: Sometimes it is available and sometimes it isn't. Even when it is available the access is partial: Some contacts are available and some aren't. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to which contacts appear on the car's systems, except that it is the same contacts every time and - wouldn't you know it? - several of the numbers I call most frequently are always missing.

Has anyone gone before me, found these same problems and solved them? I'd love to hear any advice or tips. Asking the dealer has been a fruitless experience...

Cheers,

Martin.

Well, I guess I (more or less) solved my own problem: The JETware (http://www.jetwaremobile.com) extension seems to add a lot of control over and finesse to the Hands-Free profile on the PPC. I can now get to all of the contacts that I want to and they are sorted the way I want them to be. Also, although it's a little weird in operation, I can now get to Voice Command on the PPC via the car's voice system.

I hope this helps someone else!

Cheers,

Martin.
