Default Dell GPS Navigation with non Dell receiver

I bought the Dell Navigation program and Bluetooth receiver from a co-worker a little while ago. The combination worked very well with my x51v and had no complaints. However, my problem is that I accidentally dropped my gps receiver, unbeknownst to me, and then subsequently ran it over with my suv. After a brief slap to my forehead, I picked my jaw up, and took a few deep breaths. I decided that I'd simply replace the bluetooth gps receiver with a new one. After some searching, I found a reasonably priced Teletype gps receiver on ebay and bought it. The receiver works very well with Delorme Street Atlas as well as Microsoft Streets and trips. Unfortunatelty, it doesn't seem to be compatible with my Dell Navigation program. I've tried a few comm settings and renaming the device under bluetooth settings to no avail. I would really hate to have spent so much money for a mapping solution that no longer works. Does anyone have any suggestions?
