Default Belkin BT PDA Adapter card

I received this card from one of the companies I do business with, would not have been my first choice had I purchased it with my funds.

What would prevent it from working in a PC Card adapter? It locks up my Casio E-200 when I put it in the adapter in my PC card sleeve. Also when I try to use it in my LAptop win xp thinks it is a generic pc card adapter. I thought pc card adapters just went pin for pin? Socket's CF card can be used in an adapter and with pocket pc and Windows.

I think we're going to need some more details in order to give you a hand. Do you have a part # from Belkin?

What type of card is it? (PDA Adapter Card) doesn't really tell us what type of card it is... Is it Compact Flash, SDIO, etc.?

What are you plugging it into? What type of card converter? What are you plugging it into in your laptop?

Sorry in the subject line ihad Belkin BT for blue tooth, PDA adapter card is the part name. I guess model number would be F8T020.

This is a compact flash type 2 card. I have compact flash to PCMCIA card adapter that I am inserting the card into for use in my pc card sleeve and lap top. Don't the pins just go straight through? I see on Socket communication's web site that there BT card comes bundled with a PCMCIA adapter for use in pc card sleeves and lap top computers

Thanks Dan

Default Belkin BT PDA Adapter card

When used with the PCMCIA adapter and inserted into the pc card sleeve on the Casio E-200 the Blue tooth indicater goes grey and the Casio locks up. When I insert the combo in my Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop with Win XP pro "New hardeware found generic CF_Card inserted"
The card works fine by itself in the compact flash slot on my Casio E-200 pocket pc, but I would like to use it in the pc card sleeve due to the extra battery. Also I need to be able to use it in my lap top as well. If this will not work I will be forced to sell the card and buy a different brand.

Thanks Dan

Did you installed the BT drivers and software before inserting the card?

Your PCMCIA card adapter may not be able to recognize Type 2 CF cards.

Yes all drivers and software is installed. My adapter is made for type 2 cards and works fine with others. Do the adapters change the pins or are they straight through? Is there some form of logic or electronic parts in the adapter that are causing the problem?
I also have problems connecting serial devices to the pc card sleeve on the Casio such as wireless phone and gps.
