Windows Mobile 2003 - How does Auto Correct work?

I've seen the threads on Auto Complete and the Inbox Auto Complete features. It got me wondering about another feature I saw listed when PPC2003 was first announced, but which I haven't heard anything about: Auto Correct.

Can someone shed some light on this?

I'm hoping it's something similar to the built-in auto correct feature on my Blackberry. On that device, it automatically evaluates after the space bar is pressed (so you don't have to manually check anything -- I guess that's the "Auto" part ).

It has a large number of built-in entries which is great. For example, typing "i" automatically gets you "I". Similarily, typing "cant" gets you "can't". But what's really nice is that you can add your own. For example, typing "sig" gets me my full email signature.

So, how does Windows Mobile 2003 measure up? Anybody?

PS: If it's not already planned, maybe this would be a good idea for another "Something Cool" article.
