Windows Live Messenger for PPC
Does anyone know if Windows Live Messenger is goign to be available or already is available for PPC? I just updated on my desktop to the new Windows Live Messenger and think it is great. I would love to have it on my PPC as well.

There is a web-based version available here, though you'll have to wait for the dedicated client as it's still undergoing testing. More on that here.

Thanks for the info. I will be giving them feedback. The one thing that I was really looking for was being able to have an audio conversation and that is not yet available on the web version it appears.

A couple of big additions to Windows Live is that you can send IMs to people who are offline and the message appears as soon as they logon. The other difference between the PC Windows Live and the PPC Windows Live that I use is that the PPC version does not do audio or video conferencing.

IM to someone offline, wouldn't that be considered an EMAIL!!! sorry for the sarcasticity. To me IM is only IM if there is a person online to receive it. on a phone that would considered an SMS sent to someone with no signal or turned off.

I think it's more to mirror the behaviour of the desktop client, which actually does that i.e. send messages to someone offline.

Aside from the aforementioned, there's also avatar/emoticon support, voice clip support, and camera support.
