Default Why is iPAQ Backup so useless...

What is up with this program? Why is even included in iPAQ's ROM (2210).

If I backup manually. I can backup to my CF card. If I set it to backup automatically it says not enough space when it turns on to do its thing. So what is the point of even having such software? People have to spend more money on a third party software to do something as esential as a backup?

Where is HP's logic on this. And what is the point of having built in iPAQ "Storage" if you cant even store the file there. The meager 3.8 mb of space look like they were included in the device as a left over of something.
Just my $0.02.

My iPaq backup worked flawlessly. Make sure the automatic backup is set to backup to the CF Card. If I remember correctly, I had that working for me(before I decided to just do it manually)...

I suppose that you mean opening the program and changing the directory of the backup file. I did that and when it starts am still getting an error that there is no space, even though my CF card has more than 100 mb of free space.

The only thing I did is that after I told it to do an automatic backup, I went back and chose the location again...

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems with it...

This may sound silly, but check to see that you have not checked the box to back up your CF or SD card.

Just a thought.

My backup works flawlessly as well.

OK this is not the best back up solution but for some reasons i find this program usefull: its built into the rom, its free. if you only backup your PIM data, ipaq filestore is enough for your purpose.
