Why can't I update rom for my HP iPAQ rx3715 ??????
Hello
I have just bought a brandnew rx3715 but I can't update the ROM version.
The error number is '262' and something about the connection.
After that, I tried again with SD card inside the slot, the error is 'WRONG IMAGE !!'
I can't understand !!! Please help me !!! Thanks a lot !!!

What exactly did you do to update the ROM image. Also, what is your current ROM version? I just got my rx3715, and I was able to update the ROM without any problems. (And since I'm new to the rx3715, I really don't have any hints, etc., but knowing what you've tried exactly might help others.)

make sure its a direct connection from cradle to pc usb port, and that activesync is ok.
Also, check your rom version...you might have the latest one.
If that fails, do a soft reset and try it again.

Just as a clarification - a direct USB connection being one that connects directly to a default USB port. Don't attempt to update the ROM with the device connected to a USB hub. |

The ROM version is 1.00.10 ENG now anh I want to update to version 1.10.10 ENG which has WM10. The cardle is connected directly to the pc usb. I have tried many time but still unsucceeded
The error till is '262'....

Just a quick thought - did you plug in your power supply to the rx as well? |
