What are the gaming prospects?

I'm going to order the Axim x50v today and I'm just looking at gaming software.
Now I know the PPC is not a PSP but I'm trying to see what kind of gaming prospects are out there... I've been looking at a few old threads on here and I gather that there are a few options.

*There is a Playstation emulator for the PPC... how well does this one work? Would I be able to take advantage of the 16MB graphics accelerator. I think it would be nuts to play FFVII or something like that on the PPC.

*PocketDOS... will this play the native games that I used to play on my old 486... (eg. Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Carmageddon, etc...)

*What are the different 16-bit console emulators out there for PPC? Any good recommendations?

Any other good gaming software that is out for the PPC? Or any good ported games written natively for the PPC?

Well I dont really like using emulators. Never tried it, but a nice game called Beast of Rage can be played. http://www.ipaqhq.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17958

As for good games that are VGA my favorites are from here http://www.isotope244.com/

Acky's XP Breakout and Atomic Cannon are both extreamly fun and have great graphics.

Well, it's pretty sluggish. Please read my article on the subject (can also be found on the 22nd page of the July 2005 Pocket PC Magazine).

However, for playing LucasArts' SCUMM games (and some other), you may want to prefer the interpreter ScummVM (http://www.scummvm.org/ ).

MAME works pretty well with old Atari type games (Tempest Baby!!), and Morphgear is pretty smooth too, but thats not free.
16-bit emu works well (my hx2750 can play at full speed with sound), but there aren't enough buttons, and the touch screen game pad is always going to suck. If you've got access to a keyboard, you can play that way, but thats not always convenient.
Really when it comes to emu games, I tend to stick to the good old NES. PDA buttons are almost perfect for that (Blaster Master!!).
