iPAQ categories not transferred to Outlook?

Hi there

I'm new to this site, so forgive me if this is a newbie question and/or if it's been asked in the past... I did search old posts for a while...

I have an old 3000-series iPAQ (about 5-6 years old) with WinCE I presume (I'm not sure... the unit's charging right now :-)), and am running ActiveSync 3.8... the categories & folders that exist or that I create on the iPAQ do not seem to get transferred to Outlook (Office 97). For example, the Business folder under Notes does not seem to appear in Outlook, Outlook (ActiveSync?) just throws all the notes from all WinCE directories seemingly into one directory (it just shows the WInCE pathname in the Notes file name). Similarly, WinCE contact categories don't appear in the Outlook contacts window, they're all in the same (root?) directory.

I've just upgraded to Office 2003 and want to understand this before I sync with Outlook 2003 for the first time. Perhaps I'm missing something here... thanks in advance for any and all help...
