Default Installing the apllication in RAM or SD/CF storage card?

I am a PDA beginner. I have a general question.

1. About the place to install the application, what is the difference between RAM and SD/CF storage card? Speed only?

2. How do we determine where to install?

Thanks in advance.

Victor

RAM is faster but if your battery dies you lose all your information. When you install programs it will ask you if you want to install to internal memory (RAM) or external memory (CF or SD card).

I install programs that I use a lot on my RAM, and special programs and all games on my SD cards. That way I will always have fast access to the things I use the most.

One important thing to bear inmind is that SD (and CF) cards take a little while to initialize when the machine is reset. If you've got a program that is loaded on startup then the card may not initialize in time for that program to run.

Send a message via MSN to Kowalski

install as much as you can to you ram but keep in mind that when the amount of free memory drops below some level, your system stability will be worse
