Default Hooking up with Linux

Hello, everyone.

I am still a newbie to PDA, which means there are a lot of things that confuse me about using this device.

As for Linux,
I have no difficulty in connecting PDA with my computer running Windows XP. All I had to do is install ActiveSync. That's good.

But, every now and then, I often use Linux(SUSE10.1) by means of dual-boot on one machine. What makes me wonder starts here.

I have never, ever hooked up with my PDA on Linux. I am completely new to Linux thing, and it is not more or less user-friendly as to dealing with installation.

Can anyone help me get the hang of connecting to Linux?

My PDA is running WM2003.

Thanks a lot.

There is the SynCE project, which provides pre-WM5 users with a way to sync on Linux.

However, I would not consider it "easy" for end-users. I have not tried it myself, and unless your Linux distro provides a packaged setup or you are willing to play around for a while, you might want to avoid it for the time being.
