Try Spb Backup. Make sure you store the self-extracting backup file in a non-volatile location (for example, your memory card; one that's not affected by a hard reset).

I assume you mean SMS? A backup program (as recommended in the previous posts) is the ticket if you're just concerned about restoring the messages to your device. Exporting/Saving the messages though, you'll need to look at a different type of program. I'd suggest reading here as your first step.

Jeyo Mobile Extender is a great product for backing up/restoring SMS messages.

Before I upgraded my MDA to the latest ROM update, I used JME to backup my SMS messages to Outlook and was able to easily restore everything after update.

Hi. Would like to take this slightly further.....

Just downloaded and installed Extender 2.0 and managed to download/synchronise my text messages from an XDA-Exec into outlook. Great! Worked well.

Now I'm trying to transfer these messages onto a Nokia 6230. I have Nokia PC Suite installed and my PC can connect to my Nokia nicely via bluetooth. I can't drag/drop or copy/paste the messages from outlook onto the Nokia phone subfolders for 'messages' - i can only transfer them to the 'gallery'. Either way, I cannot tranfser the messages into the right folder on my Nokia phone.

Can anyone help? Would be much appreciated. I hope I won't kick myself if the solution turns out to be dead simple...if indeed there is a solution!
