Default English/French Dictionary

Anyone know of a good French-English Dictionary? I am trying to learn French and I want a good supplemental tool to carry on my 4705.

Get the free one from the Microsoft Reader website.
http://www.microsoft.com/reader/down...ctionaries.asp
The only bad thing about it is that English-->French and French-->English are separate ebooks.

SlovoEd

Trueterm

Beik

Hi,

I'm currently testing SLOVOED, and it will probably be that one for me.
My need was, English-French French-English, and a French Definition dictionary.
So with that one, I can switch from english to french to definition back and forth at any time.
Of course you can also translate a word in another application without any problem.

I'm not sure if it's only my X50v, but it doesn't support landscape VGA (it freeze so you need to soft reset...)

I think there is many good one (if you don't want a french definition integrated). You can look in the pocketpcmag.com encyclopedia of software to get a big list.

Good luck!

Hi:

I downloaded the one for English/Spanish and what I got is a file
called enes.lit. How do I install this on my Pocket PC ?
If it is just a copy from my desktop to the IPAQ, to where on the IPAQ should a copy ?

Thanks

You can just copy it over and view it in MS Pocket Reader.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm trying SlovoEd also. I do like it but the one thing I wish it had is pronunciation. Still it seems like the best one so far.

Also, does this SlovoEd have a Portguese version ?

Thanks

enes.lit is the Spanish one I think. There are several on that same page. You can put it anywhere on your ipaq, but you need to use Microsoft Reader to view it. The Ipaq should have come with this program, but if it didn't, you can download it here.

Portuguese search engine or Portuguese dictionary?
If you click the SlovoEd hyperlink of my previous post, you might find your answer.

SlovoEd:
...
Dutch - Portuguese
English - Portuguese
German - Portuguese
Greek - Portuguese
Polish - Portuguese
Swedish - Portuguese
...

Good luck!

I found another one by LingvoSoft however the demo only lets you see the beginning of the dictionary so you can't really evaluate it in terms of seeing if the words you might look for are there. Also the Soft KB doesnt work on the 4705. Well it works if you can use the tiny version.

After using the SlovoED dictionary I noticed that quite a few words that should have been there weren't.
