Default Why the price differences in SD cards?

I'm shopping around on amazon.com for a 64 MB SD card, and I am puzzled by the differences in prices. The Viking 64 MB card retails for $93 and is on sale for $60, while the Lexar 64 MB is selling for $40. What gives? Is the performance of one brand that much different than another? I have a Viking 32 MB card and am very happy with it, but it's hard to justify spending $60 for a card that is essentially the same as a $40 one (if they are indeed similar in the first place, which I guess is my question).
