What happened to the Viewsonic?

There hasn't been any news for quite a while. CompUSA has them in the PocketPC display kiosks, but has no idea when they will actually have units for sale. Amazon still lists them as preorder, but says they will ship on Dec. 5th. Has anyone actually managed to find one?

The Viewsonic website for the V35 still includes this disclaimer:

Limited availability starting mid November, 2002, through select retail outlets. Please visit us again for exact availability and store locator at that time.

mid-Novemeber??? It's Dec. 3, guys -- where do you stand now?

It's a minor issue, I know, but if this is any indication of their attention to detail and customer focus, I'm not sure I want to be among the first group to buy the V35. How hard is it to keep a product website updated?
