.wav as ringtones.
Just a short question for Running Voice users (and also other PPC Phone Manager users). What is the logic behind the use of .wav file as ringtones ? Why not mp3s ?
Is there an application with a good loss/compression ratio for wavs ? I made a 15 seconds ringtone, using the 16 bit mono compression, I got a 1.2 megs wav. That is a silly size for a 15 minutes sound, right ?
I converted it into the 8 bit mono, size went half (.6 megs), but I can hear some hissing on the wav file. Any idea ?
