Hi all
I'm taking the family on a trip to Paris (mostly Disneyland, but also with a day or two in Paris) by the end of the month, and want to stay connected. Since my
danish mobile phone operator will have me pay thru the nose, I'm looking for another solution.
Off course I would prefer to use wi-fi all the way (especially since i have VoIP wich I could use on the iPAQ) but could also use GPRS/GSM if thats the only thing available.
Googling, I found amoung other things this
IHT link talking about a massive wi-fi net thats free until june 30 and then afterwards by subscription.
Anyone who knows if this system is up and running?
I followed the
wixos link and the amount of covered spots are far from impressive! Where I live in Copenhagen, one of the 3 competitors alone have covered all the squares of central Copenhagen and some 25 of the restaurants/coffee-shops + all of the 7-11 shops in denmark. Wixos looks like they have 20 spots in a city thats 10 times as big...
Anything else that works in Paris?
If I can't do wi-fi, I'll have to consider using GSM and preferrably GPRS. But do there exist providers who have prepaid GSM SIM cards and anyone who also have GPRS?
I also have a few questions about PPC software, but when I searched the forums I saw
this thread wich has just been posted, so I'll take it there.
