Default Using seperate email program to Outlook

Here's something that I've been racking my brains over and can't think of a solution so hopefully someone can help. I have a pocket PC and sync it with Outlook 2003 at work using Active Sync. I just sync calendar and contacts.

I want to be able to sync my personal POP3 email accounts too. Work aren't happy about storing this mail on the corporate server, so I want to just use a dial up connection (GPRS on my device is too expensive) with an email client to download my email and sync it on my device so I can respond when out and about.

Can someone suggest the best way to do this - I've tried setting up Outlook on a seperate computer but Active Sync refuses to sync email on two seperate connections.

Just so I'm clear. You have a POP account that you'd like to use except since "work" is your primary sync...you can't get it to sync on another PC?
What model PPC?
You could create a NEW primary sync on the other PC, then sync on "work" and make that secondary. You'd then be able to use AS inbox sync on the secondary PC and the current "problem" with inbox would be @ the work PC but who'd be concerned about that? They don't want you to use that anyway.
Make a backup to prevent losing the ability to reverse changes.
