Default Looking for advice on hosted exchange/hotmail

Hey all, my mom is a big user of her Treo 680 (Palm OS) but really wants to take the next leap and start syncing her Treo wirelessly with email/calendar/contacts. Currently, she uses Outlook on her home PC, and has a hotmail account.

Since her Treo will support Exchange syncing, my thought was that I should get her signed up for a hosted Exchange account so she can sync that with her Treo. However.... Is there any way Exchange server supports hotmail? She's really married to her hotmail account, but I don't know if it's in any way compatible with Exchange. I know many email accounts will let you forward mail to another address, but I don't think that's possible with hotmail - so my hope is that Exchange will support hotmail natively.

If anyone has any info or advice I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

In Hotmal click on "Options" and select the option that allows you to forward to another account.

Thanks Dale, but there is no option that allows you to forward email unless I'm blind. Possibly the "pay" version of hotmail allows forwarding? Is that what you're referring to?

Mine is not a pay version. After I click on options (on the upper right) it is the third choice under "Manage you account." [/img]

Ahhh, got it. The reason I didn't see it is because she has the "old" version of hotmail. I clicked on the button that upgrades you to Windows Live hotmail and now the email forwarding option is there just as you described it. Thanks!
