I have the Toshiba e570, and it has a infrared feature. Now I live in a building that would allow me to enter through a infrared remote. I see people in my building using their PDAs to get in.

Nothing comes to mind, although if you got one of those remote programs, like this one:

...and you can get the mater IR unit that people use, you should be able to program your Pocket PC with the right IR code. Good luck!
