HTC P4550/Kaiser/TyTN II Pre-Order Sightings

Ok, so I'm watching this everyday to see what's what. Today on the PPC Thoughts home page, the left ad banner showed ads for Mobile Planet and someplace called Elite Electronix with pre-orders for the P4550.

Mobile Planet is listing it at $929. Elite Electronix has it for $799.

The thing is, they both indicate that the units have UK plugs. They ship with US adaptors.

Mobile Planet also says their units have the UMTS 2100 UK band and not the UMTS 1900 US band. I thought the phone was capable of either band (among others) -- does it have to be specially configured for one or the other? What if you travel overseas and want it to work (seamlessly) in both?

Sorry if my questions seem stupid/newbie, but I am a newbie when it comes to PDA phones, so....... :?

Any comments? Is there going to be a P4550 for the US? with a US plug? working on US networks? Have I allowed my technolust to reign with no hope of satisfying it?
