Default Windows Media Center Post-Recording Limits

I *hate* that the limit is only 4 minutes beyond the end of the program - it happens so often when TV shows, especially live events, are slated to end at a certain time and they go long - why is there a hard-limit of 4 minutes? If I want to record 40 minutes after an event I should be able to. It seems arbitrary and stupid.
