An Xbox 360 core system for $100 USD? Yup, it's Black Friday this week all right. Snap it up on Thursday! [Affiliate]

ZIKES! 8O Looks like it might be time to upgrade my Linksys Media Center Extenders! I'd like to snag a couples of these, but I'm sure they'll be limited to 1 per customer. I wonder how hard getting one will be!

There are only 1000 units, so if stock doesn't run out first, you can probably expect Amazon's servers to die from all the traffic. Long story short, it'd be pretty hard getting one.

No harm in trying for this, but *after* you fail, you may want to try other more realistic options.
If you live anywhere near a Micro Center, you can get a $100 rebate and maybe another $100 if you sign up for their credit card.
Dell had a 15% off deal yesterday, Wal-Mart is offering $50 gift cards (ditto Target, of course), and Circuit City will offer any game of your choice free ($60).
For any bigger deals, you'll likely have to wait til the spring price cut, *if* Sony ever manages to ship enough PS3s to actually impact the market.
Those folks must have really racked up some major bad karma when they FUD-ed the Dreamcast out of the market, cause *everything* that could go wrong, has. Murphy is having a field day...
To say nothing of MS.
Gotta go and get ready to hammer the Amazon servers...

And...it's sold out. Appears to have crashed the Amazon servers momentarily, as I couldn't even get the main page to open from 1:59-2:05 PM EST.

Darn, too bad I didn't see this earlier in the day. I'm looking around for a good price on an Xbox 360 Premium, and will probably go to Microcenter tomorrow. I tried the Microcenter website today, but of course, couldn't find anything related to it (their website is absolutely terrible :?).

Where do I find out more about the $100 off if you sign up for their credit card? I see the "Micro Center Visa Credit Card With WorldPoints" terms in the ad I got today, but don't see anything about the $100 off.
Anyone else find any good deals on an Xbox 360?

The MicroCenter deals are in-store only.
They carry some fun toys, especially in the TabletPC and MediaCenter arena.

The XBOX rebate's been running since last week and lasts through saturday.
The credit card thing was word-of-mouthed to me, which is why I said *if*.
Good luck.

The whole deal sucked. The ones who really got the deal where the users who snuck by on the secure servers, which were running fine while the regular servers were lagged (they didn't crash. I allways was able to refresh them after about 30 seconds). No lie, the deal was gone in under 40 seconds.
The bogus part of the deal is you didn't need to actually buy it to reserve one and remove it from the pile. It makes me cry how many people are holding onto an xbox 360 just to try and sell it (ebay or other) only to have it expire today. And you think it will go back up for sale for $100? no way.
Untill they nuke the claim system, ignore the amazon holiday special thing.
