Default Win a Copy of ProShow Gold

http://www.photodex.com/products/proshowgold/

ProShow Gold is a program I've just started using recently, but I really enjoy it - it's like that old Microsoft PhotoStory product from a few years ago, only much better (why does Microsoft always abandon their coolest technologies?). At any rate, the nice folks at Photodex (the makers of ProShow) have given me two copies of ProShow Gold to give away (valued at $69.95 USD each). So guess what that means - contest time!

All you have to do to win is take a look at the list of features, browse through the screen shots, or better yet, download the free demo - and tell me what your favourite feature is, or how you'd use this software. That's it! One post per person in this thread, one entry per person, and the contest will remain open until Thursday, June the 5th at 2 PM (GMT -7). Two winners will be chosen at random, and they'll be notified via our forum private messaging system (so make sure you have your account set to email you when you get a new message). That's it - I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say!

Default Seems like a neat piece of software...

I would use this software to create slide shows of various events (vacations, family get-togethers, birthday parties, etc...), perhaps even a recap of things that went on in our lives for the year.

I also like that it can output directly to YouTube, etc...

Thanks for another contest Jason! =)

PS: Your date is wrong, it should be June 5th, not May 5th. Might want to change that.

I think it's pretty clear how I'd use this: to re-make all my old crappy PhotoStory shows into better PhotoDex shows!

My favorite feature is the transitions and the way photos and videos are integrated with the music so easily. I want this program for some projects I have coming up so thanks for the chance

I definitely like the transition effects available in this software. Photoshow had some nice but basic offerings that pale by comparison.

It has the one feature I now search for (usually in vain) in any photo/video software: it supports WIDESCREEN aspect ratio! Would love to see how that works in this software.

Since we moved, our kids have wanted to send back stuff to let their friends know what life is like in their new location. I would use this to help them put together mini-shows to highlight some of these things set to their own weird soundtracks to share with friends!

I love the zoom feature that I am using in an older version.

You need to start another thread for these contests, so we can discuss the product with multiple posts!

I agree that MS had something very useful with PhotoStory. I've introduced that program to a couple of teachers at my daughter's school, and they've made some great year-end slideshows for their classes (which I helped them put on to DVDs to hand out to each of the students).

That's what I'd do with ProShow: help the teachers put together video "yearbooks" for their students -- but this time, with a little more polish than PhotoStory allowed, and apparently without quite so much tweaking in other programs before reaching the final product. (And, naturally, they'd each end up buying their own copy of ProShow for future use, thereby making me expendable but making Photodex some $$$, hint hint.)

Thanks to DHT and Photodex for a great giveaway!
