My current setup is an old set of logitech speakers - they work better than a laptops built in speakers but..... New speakers would save me on desk space and sound better than what I have...

Default Squeezed

Working from home just does not cut it with the laptop speakers. The stereo system is in another room and not easily accessible. I cannot turn it up if my wife is working from home as well. This does not mention the mother in law coming over to watch tv. Need the speakers to establish my space.

My current set up is a 2.1 Polk Audio system from my first PC I bought in 2000. I've heard the A5 (not the +) at a friends house and the depth and clarity of games and music is unreal, comparatively. Battlefield 3 Beta you could hear the pin on a grenade pulled and then bouncing on the ground. Almost scary at times.

Default I'd like the speakers

The laptop speaker is what I'm using now, and that's better than the ancient altec lansing speakers that gave up the ghost a couple of months back...

These speakers would improve the sound quality almost infinitely.

I bet my ipod touch would also sound rather nice with these...

Default Speakers

I have an old set of speakers that are supposed to be 5.1, but are now 2.1 as most of them have died. Having a set of working and much higher quality speakers would be awesome.

Default Audioengine A5+ speakers

I listen to just about everything from my Android phone: Music on Spotify and Google Music, books on Audible, podcasts on Google Listen, and sports with TuneIn Radio.

In the house, I have a 20 year old JVC home theater receiver that's almost as big as a pair of concrete blocks and twice as heavy. It does nothing except provide an amplifier to a pair of Bose Acoustimass speakers (they're white, which is an indication of their age). In the garage, I have a pair of self-powered Altec Lansing speakers made for a desktop computer that I bought at a garage sale. OK for the garage, but not much volume. Both are connected through the audio out (headset) connector on the Android phone.

The Audioengine A5+ speakers would be terrific in my home because they'd save space by replacing both my old receiver/amp and speakers and the connecting wiring. I could just plug in the Audioengine A5+ where I want them and it would be an improvement from my very, very old woofer-less Bose speakers! I'd probably connect my Android with a simple bluetooth receiver output to the speakers via wire.

Talking Use at work to piss off coworkers

I would use these sweet speakers to piss of my coworkers and make them jealous all while listening to loud gangsta rap from Slacker Radio.

I'm using an old set of 5.1 Altec Lansing Speakers. They work okay, but the sound is not the best.

And I like the idea of having white speakers!

Default Anything is better than nothing :)

I am currently using the internal speaker in my mini tower PC. The only thing that does not result in unrecognizable, garbled sound is a system beep "notification".

I would love to be able to listen to an .mp3 as I surf the internet!
