Default Re-Launch Contest #12: 4GB Kits of Kingston HyperX DDR2 RAM

http://www.kingston.com/hyperx/prod...ts/khx_ddr2.asp

Since no one likes Monday mornings, here's something that will brighten your day: when I was telling my contact at Kingston about our big re-launch contest, he said that Kingston would like to participate. Never one to turn down prizes for the community, I said yes, and the prize will make any geek smile: they're donating two kits of 4 GB DDR2 HyperX RAM, each valued at $192 USD (making our total prize bundle just under $6900 USD). Each kit is made up of matched RAM sticks, four sticks of 1 GB each. Here's a little about the HyperX RAM:

"KHXDR2 - HyperX DDR2 modules are specifically engineered and designed to meet the rigorous requirements of PC enthusiasts. HyperX DDR2 offers faster speeds, lower latencies, higher data bandwidths and lower power consumption than DDR. HyperX is available in single and dual-channel memory kits."

Here's how to enter: just post a message as a reply telling me what the lowest specified voltage that this RAM will run at. That's right, you'll have to go look at the product page. There's one post per person allowed, and two winners will be randomly chosen. Due to shipping restrictions, this contest is only open to people in the US and Canada. The contest will stay open for entries until April 7th, 2008.

Special thanks to Kingston for their donation of this hardware!

WOW. This is a super prize!!!

I couldn't find on the product page the specific kit mentioned in this post: a 4GB kit of 4 (1GB) modules.

However, I did find a 4GB kit of 2 (2GB) modules.
And a few 2GB kits of 2 (1GB) modules.

I am guessing the lowest specified voltage for this kit is what is mentioned under the "features" list for all of the kits: "1.8 Volts operation, reducing power consumption by about 50 percent".

1.8 volts in the feature description. 1.85 volts in the spec sheet.

This memory would look good in the new PC I'm building.
