I met my husband a few months after my divorce was finalized. I was a young mom of 3, with the youngest being twin infants. I was pretty much jaded about relationships but decided to put an ad up on a very popular online matchmaking service. I lived in NY at the time but had recently vacationed with some girlfriends in Virginia Beach, VA. Dave had answered my ad and indicated that he lived in Virginia Beach but was a NY native. He was totally not my type, but I answered his ad because I really enjoyed Virginia. We would chat online and the phone, and met in person after 2 months. During our first date (movie & dinner) I kept thinking OMG! He is soooo not my type. However, by the end of the night I was totally smitten (no hanky panky involved) because we had alot of common interests and I enjoyed talking to him! We've been married for 7 years now and I am very glad that I didn't pass him over. He is the best husband, father and the bestest friend I could ever ask for!

I met my wife in the dorms in college. She lived in the room right above mine and was practicing her tap dancing on the tile floor. I was trying to study at the time and found this a little annoying so up I trudged to figure out what the heck all the racket was. My anger diminished quickly when I found the source and we went on our first date a week later.
