I live in an community with many different cultures, we have turkish-dutch, marocco-dutch, people from surinam, afghanistan, poland, india, brazil and native dutch and that is just in my street the people I know of. In this community we have an organisation (all voluntary) wich does a lot for the community, they organise language courses, social get togethers, support with all legal and goverment paperwork etc etc. In a time when The Netherlands have to deal with Geert Wilders and his "Fitna" (a really idiotic movie basicly insulting muslims), we need these local organisations to keep these communities together and communicating (not only for the muslims but also the chritians, the hindus etc etc).
If I were to win I would keep the desktop and the mini, the rest would go to this local organisation (including my old desktop).

I would share this prize pack with my sister and her kids. She and her husband have been going through a rough patch lately, and the holiday season is looking rather bleak for them. Gifts like this would truly make a difference and put smiles on their faces.

I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't keep some of the goodies for myself. I would keep the Touchsmart PC, the media server, and the netbook for myself.

I'm gonna keep the HDX 18 for myself, a powerful laptop will help me in my university projects replacing my old PC (athlon 3000+ ...)

The HP Mini 1000 and the Kung Fu Panda I'll give it to my little cousin who has no pc.

The rest of the prize I'll donate it to a school near me. The special about this school is that it has kids with down syndrome, kids that are very special in their way. I hope this new technology to help them a little. Most of them can't afford a laptop or PC at home, so giving them such a wonderful Christmas present will make me and hopefully them very happy. From games to education, the new laptops and the touchscreen is sure years ahead of what equipment they have at school.

That's all.

Default Hp magic giveaway

Hi,

We work in a company and there are about 15 tea boy working over here, one of them who I happen to now for about 5 or 6 years is Reza, he is in his late 40 years old, married and has a little son who is in second grade, actually he is not in a very good economical condition and is struggling to pay his rent for the house every month, about a year ago he was asking if we knew where he could buy a cheap PC so that his sun gets acquainted with computers and stuff, so me and some of the other staff over here tried to gather some money so that we could buy a very cheap second hand PC for him but we could not raise enough money to that.

So , My is to provide him with the latest gear so that both himself and his son could start using that, as for himself, I am thinking that he could learn to type in word or maybe other do other stuff so that he could upgrade himself from being a tea boy and as for his son , I think growing up learning the new technology will give him the knowledge , perspective and motivation to try harder for the better future.

I am thinking of giving him the HDX laptop and so that Reza and his son can start using it at home and I want to use the HP TouchSmart desktop and HP dv4 Pavilion in the office to make a workshop so that all the other tea boys in the company can use I can can start teaching them the basics of using windows,web,e-mail,etc.

I have one younger brother who is mentally challenged, he goes to a governmental institution where they take care of him and other students over there, it is not a wealthy institution so their facilities are really basic, they teach them to make small handicrafts and some cheerful practices as well, they also teach the boys how to sing , so if I win , I will donate the HP printer to the institute so that they can print and give the lyrics of the songs to the boys to read from it at the time of singing , I know that will improve their singing and make them very happy.

Best regard and wish the best for anyone who wins all these perfect gifts,

Default What an amazing opportunity!

If I win, I would keep a laptop and printer and give the rest away. I have a very old, slow computer and I'm in the process of applying to law school, I'll need a better notebook when I get in! I currently work at The Legal Aid Society - ffice:smarttags" />lace w:st="on">Employment Law Centerlace> coordinating the Workers' Rights Clinic. Through my work I see first-hand the struggles of low-income workers to feed and educate their families with love and dignity. Because of this, I plan to focus on employment and immigration law and I expect to work in a public interest law firm. As an immigrant, I consider myself privileged to have had a college education and to be able to live in the lace w:st="on">U.S.lace> and want to give back to the community. I would give the rest of the prizes to the Mission Graduates Tutoring Center here in lace w:st="on">San Franciscolace> which serves 120 public school children K-5 year-round, infusing "college messaging" throughout its curriculum. Most of the children come from immigrant families and having hands-on experience with a computer will make a world of difference in their education and future opportunities in life. The following short article illustrates precisely why the lace w:st="on">Tutoring Centerlace> needs a computer: http://news.eltecolote.org/news/view...5501c3a84f15e7

Default Hp Magic Giveaway

I am planning on donating the some of the prize to our local cooperative nursery school. I think it is important that pre-schoolers get familiar with computers and this would be a great setting for them to gain knowledge and have fun at the same time. My son is in his last year there and the computer competency he developed at home with any formal structure was amazing. My daughter is in her first year there and it would great if she got a more structured approach to learning how to use and have fun with computers. I am thinking about keeping the TouchSmart or the HP Mini.

Default HP Magic Giveaway

I would give one of the laptops (HP Pavilion dv4) and the printer (HP Photosmart C6380) to a dear friend here in the Kansas City area. She and I both lost our jobs at the same time this year and she is starting her own writing business and can use the equipment to help get her business off to a good start. She has been a huge support to me during my job search and I would like to give her the laptop and printer as a way of thanking her for being there for me.

Thank you for hosting this contest on your site and also thank you to HP!

First of all, I am glad HP, Microsoft and Thoughts Media did this for the sake of Christmas giving and after I saw the prizes I came to think of what would I do with such amazing stuff? I'm Marc Louie from the Philippines. The school where I've been was the worst if you're talking about an I.T. school. The CISCO laboratory there is composed of Pentium-II class PC and they were all yellowish (old PC from the higher branch). For about 40-PC, there are only less than 10 of them running fairly enough to surf the CISCO website to continually follow the discussion. And the story does not end there, these few fair PCs can be called a testing ground of viruses because there is no protection built in there. I don't know why the school does not consider upgrading the components considering we pay high tuition. I guess it is impossible to protest against these on my own because everyone will kill you if they didn't finish the course just because of my protest. But still my CISCO class was my favorite regardless of the facilities. That's because of my professor whose passion is to teach to her very limit. She's the best CISCO teacher I've seen all my years in that school. I consider her the master of everything related to CISCO. But because of the low-class facilities (We even don't have a projector), her teaching was very limited to her IBM laptop (which I'm very sure a 1990's model 'cause I tested my thesis to her laptop for the sake of my survey) and the PCs around the CISCO lab. I remember once we are in the center of the CISCO online quiz, the computer hangs and we got to continue the next day because of course the same thing happens every time or we’ll all come back later when she’s vacant on the class. Sometimes my professor asks me to lend my laptop since I’m vacant most of the time and the purpose of my laptop does for me not having to run to a computer shop to rush projects.>>

Since the prizes contain three laptops, I want to give the Pavilion model to my professor which I think matches her passion and of course to replace her ageing IBM. The HDX would be very good for the CISCO lab when we have on-paper quiz since we can’t afford a projector (and the school authority will ditch petition if we ask one) and a 20-inch screen of it will be viewable around the room or could be used by students who enrolled CISCO. I can’t imagine the light in the face of the class and my professor since this is my first time to do such big things.>>

The third laptop would be for my mom. She works for the family since 1987 at a textile mill here. I remember how she takes care of us even though my dad was sort of a mood-swing. That’s why we’re (three children) very much close to her than my dad. I’ve seen her all my life without a luxury of having a gadget beside her. I also remembered when she bought the first PC to our home (a Duron 128MB RAM PC) which we are all longing for and I’m thinking she bought it for the reason of seeing me always running to the computer shop bringing couple of encyclopedias to type for a project (I thought she only sees me because my sisters were not yet grown up to use the computer properly). It was the best to see a computer in my own home. In 2006 we’re all left by her to go abroad because the textile mill was defunct. That long time seeing her work, we never saw her give-up but continue even if it meant to leave us. We contact her regularly thru the phone and her email. She bought a laptop there and brought it here but left it with us (this was the laptop I mentioned lending on the CISCO class). I never imagined she would buy a laptop and leave it here. Maybe because the PC was not that capable to accommodate us since we’re all in the college degree and my sister is residing in a dorm. My mom told me she was still using the computer in her office to check e-mail. I’m sure she will treasure this laptop (the prize) because I will tell that it’s from the three of us.>>

I rarely need to print but I think it’s better to leave it as an open printer to my neighborhood since we’ve grown up here together. The Touchsmart will be the first entertainment piece in our home with the KungFu Panda along with the media extender I remembered my mom mentioned the movie was great after she watched it abroad.>>

Sorry, I had a long post but I’ve already dreamed of giving something to others that they wouldn’t expect coming. It’s nice to see people being glad and thankful. >>

Smile HP Magic Giveaway

I would love to win this prize for selfless and selfish reasons. I would like to help my parents because they are both 64, have never owned a computer and aren't in a financial position to purchase one. I believe the HP TouchSmart IQ816 PC with Windows would be the perfect introductory computer for a novice and I think the touch screen input would help to alleviate their technophobia. I would endeavour to find worthy recipients for the other computers and surprise them for Christmas. I would like the printer package for myself please because I don't have one.
