The term "high definition" is being slapped on everything lately, but in this case I think winkflash is secure in their bragging rights: offering 50% higher dot density is significant. The question is, will anyone be able to notice on small prints? I imagine on 8 x 10 inch prints you might be able to tell the difference, but on 4 x 6 inch prints? I'm not so sure. Has anyone tried these new prints from winkflash? If so, what's your opinion?

From their site:

What color profile is used? We use the industry standard sRGB color profile.

That is such a fail and makes this useless for any pro photographer. That means they haven't acutally profiled their printers and will make no guarantees that you can get colour accurate prints. Even Costco profiles all their printers in all their stores every six months and posts them for you to use.

450dpi may give you finer hair detail (if your camera captured the detail it the first place), but it sure won't give you accurate colours
