Default Review Of X's Drive Pro

http://www.ephotozine.com/equipment/tests/testdetail.cfm?test_id=325

"New to the X'S Drive family is the X's Drive Pro. This device appears similar to the others in its range. It offers compatibility with a range of memory cards and can back up your photos to its internal hard disk. However there is one key difference between it and its companions as it has the ability to play MP3 music files."

X's Drive Pro has a 6-in-1 Card reader, capable of reading CF 1/II, Microdrives, SC, MS/Pro, SD and MMC, a 2.5" LCD, a 30GB disk, rechargeable battery with a 2 hour battery life and USB 2.0. This article concludes that "if you're looking for a memory-card compatible storage device that includes basic MP3 playback at a competitive price the X'S Drive Pro will do the job. If however you are at all serious about listening to music on the move we'd suggest you look elsewhere."

Backing up a full Sandisk Ultra 256mb card took 8 minutes 39 seconds, which is slower than we expected
I would think that would be much slower than they expected. I can copy that much data to a 256MB Lexar SD card in less time, over a USB1.1 connection.

Wow, I didn't notice that incredibly slow statistic. That works out to less than 4Mbps, which is definitely slower that USB 1.1. I wonder what interface they are using given that their external interface is USB 2.

Well, not surprising, considering I get similar speeds from my notebook. 11mbps doesn't mean full 11mbps anyway. Usually it's more like 5-8.
