Review of Samsung Digimax U-CA 5

"We can't quibble with the 5.1MP Samsung Digimax U-CA 5's $250 price tag, but when it comes to features and performance, the camera disappoints. The resolution is in the 4MP range, the menus are clunky, and we noticed a good deal of shutter lag during testing. The market is crowded with consumer cameras vying for your money, and most of them are better than this one. The compact U-CA 5 is light but not especially ergonomic or interesting in its design. The 3X optical zoom lens is 5.8 to 17 mm with a 35-mm equivalent zoom of 35 to 105 mm. It can capture MPEG4 video clips (with 640-by-480 resolution at 30 fps until the memory card is full) and does an adequate if unspectacular job on them."



Ouch, this is a pretty scathing review of this camera. It is really a mystery why Samsung is just not putting out a good camera. Anyways, I guess this is not one to buy unless budget is the only concern.
