Default Review Posted of Griffin EarJams

"Your ears may be shaped differently than ours, but our gut feeling is that if your ears found the stock iPod buds uncomfortable, the added plastic won't feel a lot better for you. As-is, we'd only recommend the EarJams to those who (a) don't mind, or rather prefer bass-heavy sound, (b) have never found the iPods in-ear buds to be uncomfortable, and (c) could benefit from the greater isolation provided by these accessories. They're not right for everyone, but if you need what they offer, consider giving them a try. "

Just as I expected, these aren't really an improvement over the existing ear buds. While the cost of the EarJams ($14.99) is much lower than most replacement sets, their lack of comfort would seem to negate that advantage. I guess if you really want to keep the white iPod ear buds so people know you have an iPod in your pocket, the EarJams are a good option, but it would appear your money is better spent elsewhere.

The Gadgeteer did a review about a week ago as well, slightly more favorable than this one, but again mentions the uncomfortableness..

Seems like both focused upon the fact that there is way too much bass.

Those cushions look an awful lot like what Sony uses. I don't find my MDR-EX70LPs to be particularly comfortable, so I would likely pass on these even if I was a rabid iPod fanatic.
